“Holidays on the Trails”
Dec. 2-3 at Western Historic Trails Center Annual event celebrates the season
with crafts, activities and music
COUNCIL BLUFFS – Celebrate the season next month at the
Western Historic Trails Center’s “Holidays on the Trails,” a two-day event of
shopping, crafts, music and more.

Friday Night Kick-Off, 6-9pm
* Evening
Jam Session – An evening acoustic Jam
Session will kick off the weekend. It is perfect for pickers and listeners who
work during the day.

Dog House will have hot dogs available for purchase.

Visitors can take a sneak peek at the Holidays on the Trails 1st Annual
Craft Show.
* A
small gathering of crafters will display and sell craft items.

The Iowa Department of
Cultural Affairs is responsible for developing the state’s interest in the
areas of the arts, history and other cultural matters with the advice and
assistance from its two divisions: the State Historical Society of Iowa and the
Iowa Arts Council. DCA preserves, researches, interprets and promotes an
awareness and understanding of local, state and regional history and stimulates
and encourages the study and presentation of the performing and fine arts and
public interest and participation in them. It implements tourism-related art
and history projects as directed by the General Assembly and designs a
comprehensive, statewide, long-range plan with the assistance of the Iowa Arts
